No need for longer wicks, fiberglass wick does not burn away like cotton wick. Paraffin oil is a great oil to use for a safer clean burn. You you may want to fray out the top of the wick for a larger burning flame. Keep your wick low about 1/8" to prevent soot.

Note: To insert the wick into the wick holder, compress one wick end and feed the wick in an upward motion through the bottom of the wick holder until it feeds through the top, then pull through. This is the method for inserting any wick into a wick holder.
